Jammin' Out

Chad LOVES homemade Strawberry Jam. He goes crazy for it...I'm not even exaggerating when I say he will eat it by the spoonfuls! Last year I made the jam with the girls, we unfortunately ran out a few months ago and Chad HAS NOT shut up about the upcoming strawberry season. So on Thursday night we made the jam. (Thank you Terri for getting the flat for us) We started about 10 at night thinking it would only take us 2 or so hours...well, apparently we had a larger flat and at 1a.m. had to rush to the store to get more Pectin and Jars. We planned on making about 9 or 10 containers of jam, we ended with 20. WOWZERS. Chad had the BIGGEST smile on his face when we realized how much jam we were going to end up having. He is such a goober, It cracked me up.

Heres mister Smiles :)

Sitting Strawberry Mush...

We will just call this Chads "Pirate Booty"

Us with our finished jam at 2 a.m.

Day in Monterey

SO, I had the day off and Chad was able to get extra credit if we went to the Aquarium in Monterey. We got up and ready extra early and were on the road by 9...We made it to Monterey safe and started our exploring at the Aquarium....after the Aquarium we walked and drove around some of the coastline, got dinner..and then drove home. Might I add that Chad drove home, I slept the whole time. Sorry babe :(

Slavin away in the Kitchen

On my day off I decided to make some "treats", so I made Banana Bread with some old bananas, and I also tried to make Chad some of his favorite Peanut Butter Cookies. I guess I will admit firstly that I am by far, no Rachel Ray...the Banana Bread turned out delicious...but the Cookies didn't end up so well..they taste fine if you can get the cookie from the plate to your mouth..they just crumble. Hmm..maybe next time. :)

The Delicious Banana Bread.

This is when I got the brilliant idea to make some designs instead of using the fork..

Here's the finished cookies- they kinda just looked crumbly. Oh well. "Cookie Crumbles don't have calories"..
