A sample of my "artistic ability"

I really wish I could say I'm going to turn into the cutest little homemaker EVER, but, mom only passed down about 1/4 of her creativity to me. My mother is OOBER talented, she can sketch out just about anything. She used to paint when I was little and went to craft shows all the time. She didn't hand much down to me, because I can only do stick figures, and most of the time they look bizarre. SO, I wanted to make Chad a pen/pencil cup for all the pens he has on his desk. This is how it turned out: Well, almost turned out. I modged it last night and its setting today. :) Hopefully with practice I can start to get an eye for things....and get better. To all you creative ladies/gents out there - be thankful!

This side just has the togetherness word, and some rhinestones:

One of my favorite pictures of us, and some words

A picture from 3 years ago and love love love allover

Some quotes and some more rhinestones (i LOVE glitter):

And the bottom, our names. MINUS the 'A' at the end of mine that I didn't have :)

Labor Day in Santa Cruz

Chad and I both had a day off and decided to spend Labor Day in Santa Cruz. Sunday after I got off work we packed up the car and headed down. We packed the car with lots of clothes, pillows, a pillowtop, bikes and some snacks. Once we got down there we found a place to park and went and walked the Boardwalk which was all light up. I don't like Roller Coasters - never have. I haven't been on one for as long as I can remember. BUT, somehow I agreed to go on the Big Dipper. Did not like it. After we went on our RollerCoaster and sat down to get rid of my shakes we got in Chads truck and found a cliff overlooking the water and set up camp. His pillowtop was pretty comfy and we fell asleep under the stars listening to the waves crash right below us. In the morning we packed the car back up and went to breakfast at a little place right by the board walk. We went on a bike ride and I took some pictures for my film photography class, we had clam chowder on the pier, layed out on the beach: went and rode the other rollercoaster, Hurricane (video below) And went exploring on our bikes:

After our finished our days activies - we got a fried dessert thing and then headed home. It was a perfect day with my perfect man. Couldn't have been better - I'm sooo thankful for him and that we are healthy and were able to go enjoy our day off there.
