My Saturday Song

I really do sing this song every Saturday on my way to work. I LOVE Holly Brook - she's got a very beautiful voice and catchy lyrics.

Tausha's Latest Obsession:

HOLY MOLY. I was standing in line at my favorite store. Target. I looked up and saw this gum, I am such a sucker for checkstands. 99c gum, HECK YA. (I know it's not a great deal, but I don't like 3 packs, or bulk buying gum). I usually go with wintergreen, spearmint...I'm a sucka for fresh smellin' breath. Until I found this gum...I seriously sound like a tard eating it because it is so delicious. Please try some. If you see me, I have all 3 kinds in my purse, so feel free to ask for a stick :) You won't regret it.

HUGE Mistake turns opportunity DREAM

This is kind of a story, so grab the popcorn and settle into a comfy chair. 5 years ago Chad and I met on a blind date set up by Jon and Kathy Fairbanks. Our second date was also a set up by Kathys son and his wife, Fred & Terri Fairbanks (now our best friends). Both 2 dates were to movies were Chad and I hardly talked. I was smitten :) Chad took my number after date number two. Several weeks later as I was doing hair on a manequin during my past Cosmetology Days, my phone rang. GUESS WHO? Chad, inviting me on a 10 day cruise to Mexico. HOLY FETCH.

Five years later, with many stories to tell, ups & downs, Chad and I have developed such a deep relationship that ultimately has lead us to an engagement. Of course, after 5 years, I was ready to marry Chad. I am so confident in my love for him, and I have no doubts that we have worked on our matured relationship and that our marriage will be incredible. I didn't know, how tricky planning a wedding could be. Chad and I had been planning and preparing for a temple marriage but ended up after a year, deciding with the Stake President it would be better for us to get a civil marriage. After some long conversations with our Bishop and some good friends. We decided to start picking a date.

I am sort of a nerd when it comes to picking a date. I want a date that looks cool. Like my friends got married on 10-10-10, uhm, how cool is that? With Chad attending UOP and hardly having a life after class 5 days a week and studying every minute, we ended up not picking a date, but picking Chads spring break that would be the perfect time for Chad to detach from School long enough to get married. So during a Jack Johnson concert (There is a previous post about this) We picked the date April 22nd, 2011 (Which I found is 4-22-11 :) my cool date). The planning began. We found a place, picked all our line, decided on colors, narrowed down flowers, and all of those others little details. Since that was the end of Spring Break, we were planning on spending a relaxing weekend together then going back to school. Then, in June going on a Group Honeymoon cruise. YES, a group cruise- We both agreed to this, because we both believe "the more the merrier!" Then....

BAAM!!

Chad called me while he was spending some time with his family in Seattle. He said that he had looked at his schedule and that Spring Break is actually in March. Not April. I did have a panic attack, I won't lie. All of my planning and preperations for this special day RUINED! I was devasted. Everything was a mess. My parents had just paid for my dress, paid for our venue, and were getting money ready for my photographer (Julie - I'd seriously known you were the ONE the first time I saw your work, I'm so bummed :( ...) . We waited a few days for Chad to get home so we could discuss our options. We found 3:

1: Move the wedding up to March and risk the rain, but keep everything the same
2: Move the wedding back to June and do it when we were both done with school
3: Just go on a cruise and get married on it, then have a honeymoon

As soon as we were brainstorming, I knew that option #3 was US. We met and began our relationship on a cruise, and it would really define who we are as people, and as a couple. We immediatly notified our close friends and family and began the search. After a few days of figuring out refunds, and details, we found a 7 day cruise (almost identical to the one our 3rd date was) in March, over Chads spring break.

Perfect.

We have a small group of people going, and I cannot even tell you how excited we are. We are going to get married in Cabo (legally, yes!) on March 7th. We have found someone who is coordinating everything. We just have to hop of the boat, and everything will be ready. The last week or two has been stressful figuring out all the details with blood testing, making it legal, new colors, favor ideas, dress situation, but, I can now take a deep breath and honestly believe everything is coming together. We will be having a Reception in June, "Beach" Themed of course and are going to send out invites to that very soon. SO, there is my story. Hope you enjoyed it and I can't wait to share pictures with you when we return!

...Girls Night...

Monday night is now officially girls night. Why? You ask. Bachelor. Yep, the drama filled, fake as can be, Bachelor. I don't know if I'll make it through this whole season. Brad didn't win me over the first time.

Even though I don't like Brad....I still makes my heart melt to cuddle on a couch with Terri, Cyndie and Steph. I love these nights.

So, this thing called the Master Cleanse

I know that I don't have very good self control when it comes to food. I am the first person in line for fudge, chocolate of any kind, marshmellows, peanut brittle, peppermint bark, cake, ice cream, cookies, milkshakes, rootbeer floats. MMM. As a start to the new day, we, (Kari, Chad and myself) decided to cleanse our little systems to jump start a healthy diet to get us ready for the year. Well. I started a tab labeled "Master Cleanse" which you can find above, to be deleted soon. I gave up on Day 3 of the phase in. I cannot force myself to eat only certain foods. I was okay Day 1 & 2, eating only fruits and veggies (I was starving all day no matter what I ate), and Day 3 was fresh squeezed Orange Juice only. Half way through, I was done. I couldn't work. "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is not true. I have to eat food. I'm just now trying to monitor my intake, and to increase my workouts. Which are non existant.

Date Night

Tonight Chad and I went to see "Little Fockers" - I definitely thought it was going to be funnier. Thank goodness it was cheap movie night or I would have been upset. There are no good movies out. Lame.
