Time to Register!

Since we are back to reality, it is time for us to start planning our reception! I am excited to plan our "After-Party"...we are leaning towards having a super layed back 'beach attire' luau...So, I am exciting to find some fun DIY projects to keep me stressed and busy for the next 2 months. We finally got to go register - I think we have a pretty good list too, I'm excited! I'm pretty sure I've made it clear that I am getting married so I can register for the KitchenAid Mixer (OF COURSE this is a lie, I got married so that I can cuddle and kiss the most handsome man in the world for Eternity!)...so as soon as we got our clicker, I went straight to that B-E-A-utiful mixer. At first we picked red (as you can see in the picture) But later, after we picked new kitchen colors, I went back and got the Grey one. Our plan is to do yellow, grey and white in the kitchen...pretty cute huh?
I'm really hoping that I can get this mixer. I literally sing, while hand stirring brownies, lemon bar mix "Oh, I wish I had a KitchenAid Mixer, Mixer..." Over and over and over. So ya, I'm crossing some fingers!! This is me looking like a tard after I clicked my mixer. Thats all I needed :) Picking out cups, we found Chad a nice glass set, and me a matching plastic set (I tend to break things easily) And heres a towel we were using as a color reference for our beach themed bathroom :)

So ya, good registering experience. I am excited to start working on invites, and then Reception plans :)

Inspection Time

I love my job - it does have it's ups and downs, all can be interpreted however you like. Every month one of the maintenance guys and myself get to inspect 2 apartment buildings (10-20 units). We inspect to make sure that smoke detectors work, that the breakers are all in line, that disposals, sinks, toilets, tubs are draining and functioning...blinds open and close, no one is hiding animals...stuff like that. I cannot decide if I like inspection day or not: I get to see a lot of cute furniture, decorations, fun DIY crafts...but I also get to find hoarders. It amazes me how some people can live like they do. I promise, you haven't seen anything until you have this job. Try walking, (in peep toe heels) over a ground filled with papers, garbage, and piss, squeezing in between boxes stacked to the ceiling..... Yep. I don't like inspection days. **shivers**

6th Day - At Sea

Today was the last day of our cruise :( dangit. I don't want to go back to work, school, life....I vote we just cruise with our family forever!! The weather was cold again today - so we played cards inside, packed, watched a towel folding demonstration....and had our goodbye hugs :*(

Here's two shots of our room, we had a balcony room...it was nice to leave the door open at night and listen to the waves, it was soooo peaceful, the sunrise was beautiful...and we had breakfast out there once...yumm...

5th day - At Sea

Today, was one of those days at sea...it was cold out (Maybe b/c of Japan/Tsunami) so it wasn't a good day to be by the pool...we did a lot of lounging, eating, shows, and it was our "Formal Night" :

4th day - PUERTA VALLARTA!!

OHHH Man!! I love Puerta Vallarta - I feel like it is such a colorful, fun town! I feel like this is one of those places that I would enjoy living. As soon as we hopped off the boat, we new we had to go to on the famous "Predator" Canopy Tour. Chad and I had done this with Fred and Terri at this same place 5 years ago when we were here...we fit EVERYONE from the group in the van.../ and then we drove an hour down this scary skinny 1 way, but 2 cars drive on it road. Pretty sure my eyes were closed the whole way!! I was on Chads lap though, so he held me night and tight :) At this place, there is a beautiful water area that you can swim, or go off the natural rock slide, and there's a rope swing...the water was ice cold, thats why no one was in it!! After the canopy tour, some people had snacks, a group of people went exploring and went off the slide...Here is me and Kari after: And me and dad talking while everyone got in the cold water to explore upstream: We stopped at a Market for a minute and everyone had a few minutes to look around...we got some gifts for people, and my grandma bought Chad and I these realllly cute matching mugs...When we got back on the boat, we got ready and went to dinner: What a fun day! Love it!!!

3rd Day of the Cruise - CABO!!!!

We were upset at first when we learned that they had taken Matazlan off our ports to stop at list - but then we were happy because the only day we were scheduled to be in Cabo was the wedding, and we wouldn't have had any time to play! SO, it kind of worked out that we got to spend the day in Cabo. We woke up early because we only had from 8am-3pm to spend in Cabo. One group went Snorkeling by Lover's Beach, One group went whale watching, and another group went on a Moped tour. Chad and I were part of the Snorkeling group, so here are some pictures from that: Here is our group: I took the picture (from left to right) Chad, Richard, Hilary, Terri, Fred, Kari, Carli, Terri, Steve and Eric: Here is some of our group getting into that ice cold water: This is Chad and I snorkeling... There was this rock that the guys and Kari (my rock hard Best Friend) swam out to to jump off. Here is Chad doing a flip off it, and thats our ship in the background!! After we warmed up on the boat ride back to the city, we looked around at the market, and then we went back to the boat and had lunch, here's a picture of my beautiful best friend Kari, and my new beautiful sister in-love (A friend of mine Katy calls her In-Laws, In-Loves...so I'm stealing the term, Thanks Katy!!) Then, Chad and I went and got all cute and ready for dinner...we walked around the boat, and took pictures and then went to dinner at the Mexican place:
It was such a fun day - definitely a great first day to be married! We had a blast with everyone, and tomorrow we wake up in Puerta Vallarta!!!

Our new beginning.

I can't believe that after 5 years, imagining this day in my head time and time again, that it finally came!! My dad paid for myself, kari, and mom to get our hair done....so that morning (after little sleep) we met with David to get our hair done. We had met with David the night before and finalized hair plans. I decided to have my hair done up instead of the beachy waves, I had originally wanted...Goodbye long hair!
My dad, mom, Terri, Gma, and Nic stopped by, my dad brought food, my mom words of wisdom. I love my parents - I am so thankful they were able to come... Terri and Nic took some pictures, and we were pampered and planned and talked about the big day.
While Kari and Mom were getting their hair done, I started on my makeup... And while allllll this was happening....Terri snuck up to take some pictures of my handsome hubby to be.... And look at these studs!! Then Terri, Kari, and I went to my room to take some pictures of girly things: These are two of my favorites!! Boat ride over to Cabo - This was the first group: Chad and I, Terri, Kari, Mom and Dad, Gma and Gpa...We had to go over first so that Chad and I could have our blood tests done at the wedding office.... OUCH!! So then, Chad went and picked up the other group: Steve, Terri, Carli, Eric, Rick, Hilary, Landon and Nic...and they went to the wedding site....we met them there shortly therafter....BEAUTIFUL place huh?? Here is Rick and my beautiful Maid Of Honor Kari....Don't they look AMAZING?? Here's my Dad and I: (thank you for the death grip so I didn't fall dad!) Ceremony and the KISS!!! WOWZERS....This is getting long. So heres a couple from group shots and pictures from the beach..... So, then we went back to the boat and took pictures, we had our "first dance" to my favorite cruise song "Red Wine", where we danced on the empty boat deck.....Terri has a lot of edited ones that look BEAUTIFUL on her webpage....check her out!! Then, after pictures we went to dinner. Marrying my best friend and the most amazing man I ever met was the most incredible part of my day, BUTTT, walking into dinner was a close runner up... We walked down the stairs, and the entire restaurant starting clapping for us! It was incredible - I felt like I was a princess in a movie! It was truly epic. We had dinner, a cake that my dad bought for us, took some family pictures: And then it was time to be newlyweds ;) ;)
