This is pretty much what my day looked like today:
I'm pretty sure we are going to have a teether soon. Chad spotted some white ridges on her lower gumline - so we think it's coming. Other than today, Presley had a rockin week.
She is so dang beautiful. I could seriously stare at her for hours. Her smile seriously melts every bone in my body. It is my favorite to look up and see her smiling at me. It makes the tricky days (like today) so so so worth it. I love this girl much more than I ever thought possible. Kinda crazy how my heart keeps getting bigger and bigger as I fall further in love with her.
It is crazy to think this girl is 8 months. Any mom will totally understand when I say it has taken forever to get here. But it has also been the quickest 8 months of my life. I'm still sorting through our 8 month pictures, so here are week 35 to keep you up to date on Presleys growth.
We had a good week. It has been busy, and I have been exhausted. BUT, staying busy with lots of Presley helping tasks, errands & having Grandma & Grandpa Wierlo in town has tired this girl out. Last night she did an 11 hour stretch (BOOYAH!). The rest of the week she was down around 8:30/9 -slept till 5, and then nursed and slept with me on the couch. I don't mind that schedule - it gives me a few hours of productive ME time once she goes to bed....then I can get a solid 5-6 hours of sleep, then cuddle with her on the couch. I love it. It's so nice being right there when she opens her eyes and stretches and smiles. Its the BEST way to wake up in the morning.
Presley is getting SO big. It's crazy to watch her learning and exploring everyday. She loves to help me with chores & cooking. She also loves to just explore on her own (which is a nice break for me - it allows me to get my chores done!).
Presley can officially crawl, and she is getting pretty fast too! She pulls herself into the standing position soooo fast & inches her way from one side of the couch to the other. She has stood without support several times & we think she will be standing/walking pretty soon!
She loves to play with Dexter & especially loves making the dash to his food bowl as soon as we put her down on the floor. We are working on 'NO' - but she seems to be pretty defiant so far. I keep thinking if we let her take a handful of Dexters wet dog food - she might change her mind after having a taste test.
I didn't weigh her this week, because her lack of gaining weight stresses me out. I feel like I am constantly working my butt off to feed her. On top of nursing, meals morning and night - this girl eats Puffs, Yogurt Bites & cheerios like it's her job. She loves having small bites of whatever we are eating & sucks down 'Buddy Fruits' like a big girl. It boggles my mind she's not fatter - but she seems pretty healthy and has lots of diapers, so I guess I shouldn't worry TOO much.
