Spring Break Part 1.

I have been counting down till Chad got to Spring Break. It is HARD being a single parent & just as hard to be a Dental student. Chad leaves every morning around 6/630 am & he doesn't get home until around 530/6. Which means he is at school for 10-12 hours a day, and then has to come home and study, while trying to squeeze in time for Presley & I, and well, to be honest, we don't get a lot of time. It's hard being supportive, and packing lunches, prepping breakfast, spending my days with a cranky baby, dealing with everything house related and not really getting any hubby time. So, lets just say - we have been soaking up togetherness these past few days and I couldn't be happier. To make it even better, our good friend Eric came to spend a week with us & he is practically the sweetest guy in the world. I told Chad today, if I met Eric first (and if he was into blondes), I totally would have dated him. Anyways. Here's what we've been up to:

We put Chads birthday present to use. Actually, we have every night. I had no idea is was so easy to grill. I need to start a new board on Pinterest for grilling recipes. Yes. I need a recipe for everything. My father-in-law does not to a very good job of satisfying my need for an exact recipe. His response to my recipe request via email pretty much said, "brown sugar, butter, and then put it on the salmon". I starred at that email for a good 6 minutes. Oh Steve. I have hardly done any cooking this week, the boys have been the grill masters, we've been eating pretty fancy too. Hawaiin Chicken, Salmon, Steaks….
Gotta love Arizona and weather in the 70's and 80's. We've been spending LOTS of time outside….It's great because Presley loves being outside so she's been pretty happy these last few days.

Sheesh I love that round faced girl. Especially when I can pass her off to Daddy when she gets fussy. Definitely going to live up this next week. I'll be back tomorrow with more pictures of the most incredible apartment swimming pool & some exciting news about #blogcation.
